Turn on the iPad, wait for the Hello screen to appear, then press the Home button.
Select English as the language.
Select United States for Country/Region.
At the Quickstart screen, press Set Up Manually at the bottom.
For Wi-Fi network, select LVUSD-Guest, then press Continue to the Internet, then press Done in the upper-right corner.
Wait for Activation to initiate.
At the Remote Management screen, press Next, then Enroll this device.
Wait for enrollment to complete.
Press Continue to confirm automatic iPad updates.
At the Screen Time screen, press Set Up Later in Settings to skip this step.
At the Appearance screen, simply press Continue.
At the Welcome to iPad screen, press Get Started to complete setup.
Wait for the pre-installed apps to finish setting up, then restart the iPad to connect to the devices network.
Resetting an iPad will erase all data. If you would like to save any data, please see iPad Backup below.
Open the "Settings" app, and select the "General" tab.
On the right-hand side, scroll all the way down and select "Reset".
On the page that is now open, select "Erase All Content And Settings".
Select "Erase" to begin the reset process.
Once the iPad restarts and displays "Hello", follow the iPad Setup instructions found above.
Do not use iTunes or iCloud backup with District iPads.
Open the "Settings" app, and select the "General" tab.
Select "Software Update" and wait for an available update to appear.
Select "Install Now" to begin the update process. This can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour.
Paid apps are funded by the schoolsite/department. Apps cannot be funded from iTunes gift cards and require an official LVUSD Purchase Order. For more information, please place a work order including the number of devices you want the app on and the name of the app. Unfortunately, Apple does not allow in-app purchases for the District.
Locate the ZuluDesk app on your homescreen and open it.
Under the "Apps" tab, find any apps you want to install, and press the "Get" button to begin the download process.
The app will begin installation as soon as it can. This process can take a while, depending on the size of the app.
We recommend that you turn on automatic app updates in Settings, under "iTunes & App Store" > "Automatic Downloads" > "Updates".
Open the iOS App Store.
Navigate to the "Updates" section.
Update any apps that appear on this page as frequently as possible.
There is no longer an app to access the RenSTAR assessment. You can print and use this QR code along with a QR code reader to take your students directly to the login page.
Scholastic Reading Counts only allows access to the student portal. To set the app up for student use, follow these steps:
