Troubleshooting Printing Issues

Print Jobs Don’t Appear on Ricoh

  1. Check the Ricoh print queue on your computer to ensure the print went through.
    1. Windows
      1. Open the Start menu and begin typing “printers” and select “Devices and Printers”
      2. Right-click on the Ricoh you sent the print to, and select “See What’s Printing”
      3. If you see a print job sitting paused, delete it and try printing again.
    2. Mac OSX
      1. Open System Preferences and navigate to the Print & Scan page
      2. Double-click on the Ricoh you sent the print job to
      3. If you see a print job sitting paused, click the circular retry button on the right-hand side
        1. You may be prompted to enter a username and password. These are your District credentials, as outlined under the Ricoh Printing guides for each Operating System. (OSX Ricoh Printing, Windows 7 Ricoh Printing, Windows 10 Ricoh Printing, or Ubermix Ricoh Printing)

Printing Report Cards

Step 1: Setup Ricoh printing on your device.

  1. Please see Ricoh Instructions under the appropriate Operating System (OSX Ricoh Printing, Windows 7 Ricoh Printing, Windows 10 Ricoh Printing, or Ubermix Ricoh Printing)
  2. Ensure you see one of the following in your list of printers: “Black and White Ricoh” or “PC_Ricoh_Pro_907EX_PS”.

Step 2: Sending the report card print job to the Ricoh.

  1. Log into Aeries, and select the following items:
    1. VIEW ALL REPORTS
    2. STANDARDS BASED REPORT CARDS
    3. Leave everything as-is, except for the following:
      1. For final report cards only, click “Print Teacher Signature Line”.
      2. To print for one student, click “Print For One Student”, type in student’s last name, then click on the name to highlight.
      3. Make sure the appropriate mark(s) are checked (M1/M2/M3).
    4. RUN REPORT
    5. VIEW REPORT
    6. Click the “Print” button in the top-right corner.
    7. Choose “Black and White Ricoh” (or “PC_Ricoh_Pro_907EX_PS”).
    8. Select “Two-sided”.

Step 3: Pulling the print job on the Ricoh machine.

  1. Push the “Printer” button, and touch the screen to log in.
    1. For username, enter the first part of your District email address (ie. mnemirovsky, instead of mnemirovsky@lvusd.org).
    2. For password, enter your District email password.
  2. Click LOG IN, then PULL PRINT.
  3. Select the print job you’d like to print, then click PRINT.
    1. For Letter sized prints, the print should work just fine.
    2. For Legal sized prints, the Ricoh will light up red and pause the print job. To continue with the print, push the “Printer” button and choose the paper tray with size 8.5”x14” paper, then select CONTINUE. The print job should now proceed as normal.
  4. To log out, select BACK, then LOGOUT.
